Cheese 101 MEMBER ONLY EVENT

MEMBER ONLY EVENT. Jackie Graham will be hosting “Cheese 101” in the Hagen Room from 6:45 to 8:00 pm.  The Cheese 101 event will be limited to 25 persons. To secure your spot, e-transfer $10 to treasurer@vihog.ca prior to October 12. Jackie is a VIHOG member and was the former Deli and Cheese specialist at Thrifty Foods. This will be a fun event with lots to learn so be sure to bring a pen and paper and an appetite. There will be cheese, fruit, bread, crackers and non-alcoholic drinks.

Things you will learn; 
– the 6 classes of cheese which will include 10-12 varieties (including blue)
– different uses of cheese
– you will try raw and pasteurized cheeses
-you will try mild right up to strong cheeses
– the history and culture behind certain cheeses
– why is cheese so expensive in Canada?
– how does the Quota system work in Canada?
– surprises!!!
